About Us

Midlands Telecare was established by Pat Hall in August 2007 after a total of twenty-six years working for local government - latterly within the Strategic Housing service of Rushcliffe Borough Council.

Pat was responsible, in 1983, for setting up Rushcliffe's community alarm monitoring centre - one of the original handful of local authority centres. In 2002 Pat took on the task of producing the tender documents that woud lead to the eventual outsourcing of the monitoring service to Tunstall Response.

Naturally the task of contract management of the monitoring service provision became one of Pat's responsibilities, alongside that of ensuring the continued success of the Councl's highly regarded Home Alarm Service.

One of Pat's many successful endeavours at Rushcliffe Borough Council was the formation, in 1987, of the Rushcliffe Service Consortium. Pat continued to carry out all of the administrative responsibilities of this growing enterprise until she left the Borough Council in July 2007 to set up Midlands TeleCare. Rushcliffe Borough Council approved Pat's desire to retain the administrative responsibility for the Service Consortium and has remained a member of the newly-formed Tunstall TeleCare Service Partnership.

In addition to her extensive knowledge of the Community Alarm sector, Pat also has hands-on experience of the problems (and joys) of aging having been both the manager of a sheltered scheme and the Assistant Matron of a residential home for the elderly.

Pat has also designed leaflets and brochures, twice-yearly newsletters and briefing papers, carried out extensive work in consultation and market research and attained the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) qualification at degree level.
