TeleCare Service Partnership
The Tunstall TeleCare Service Partnership, previously known as the Rushcliffe Service Consortium, has been in place since 1987 when it was originally conceived by Rushcliffe Borough Council in partnership with Mansfield and Newark and Sherwood District Councils.
Over subsequent years the partnership has grown to the extent that there are currently 34 local authority, housing association and charitable organisation members benefiting from the partnership. All members contract directly with Tunstall Telecom Ltd. the chosen service provider for the repair, maintenance and upgrading of control centre, warden-call, fire and dispersed alarm equipment, but benefit from the enhanced terms and conditions negotiated on their behalf by the administrating agency.
The responsibility for the negotiations and administration for the Service Partnership has been undertaken since its inception by the lead officer, Mrs. Pat Hall - previously of Rushcliffe Borough Council. Following the formation of her own company, Midlands TeleCare, Pat continues to provide the same negotiation and administration service for the Tunstall TeleCare Service Partnership having retained the absolute support both of the members, including Rushcliffe Borough Council, and the service provider Tunstall Telecom.
Any organisation having Tunstall call centre, hard-wired (warden-call and/or fire alarm) or dispersed (Lifeline) alarm equipment installed and being desirous of a repair and maintenance service may become a member of the Tunstall TeleCare Service Partnership.
There is scope within the Agreement to include similar equipment manufactured by other companies; such schemes will be considered on an individual basis and may not be eligible for some specific benefits.
The current contract period extends from 1st October 2007 for a period of five years until 30th September 2012. Each member signs a contract with Tunstall Telecom Ltd (the service provider) and will automatically receive the benefits of the administrative agency, Midlands TeleCare.
Members joining the Tunstall TeleCare Service Partnership at any point after the commencement of the service will join the Partnership for the remaining period of the contract.
